The NBI 2015 has started- and we have a few new blogs that signed up on the newbie side of things. Let’s take a look at those, shall we?
Simcha’s many lives – Simcha seems to be returning from a blogging hiatus. She plays Tera, Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy XIV at the moment and, as it seems by a quick glance, has an added emphasis on the topic of gaming (or general RL stuff) for hearing-impaired people. It’s interesting to see a blogger playing TERA, there aren’t many that i know of.
Zyngor runs Pleasant Gamer and seems to be playing Lord of the Rings Online, mostly, describing his interest being in f2p MMOs, mostly, with some adventure/action/rpg games adding into the mix. He’s also a returning blogger, so welcome back, Zyngor!
Ironweakness i know. He’s blogging on Waiting for Rez and after doing our joint-venture “Dual Wielding” twice i envy him for his writing and editing abilities. He plays SWTOR and Marvel Heroes at the moment and seems to be finding a home in SWTOR. Added into the mix of his blogs are some religious topics/musings that can give an interesting and unique twist to the MMORPG experience. It could also give a double-meaning to the blog’s name, but i don’t know about that.
Randark is busy on Randark’s Review. He’s running a podcast called Return of the Retro which is about two 30-something’s getting back into the games of their youths. The blog is about gaming updates on what Randark’s playing along with reviews of anything he completed.
Chris writes about trailers, general gaming stuff, older games and new ones too, but mainly for PlayStation 3 & 4 and experiences Gaming Adventures on his way. He offers some ingame-experiences as well as opinion pieces on the state of gaming from the perspective of a console player.
I didn’t know Chestnut of Gamer Girl Confessions was new or even a ‘wayward blogger’. I’m reading her blog and it seems to me that i’ve been reading it for a long time. She’s playing Wildstar and Final Fantasy XIV, at the moment, but the blog is meant to be covering more games than that. Also, she mentions True Detective in her latest post.
Sara is playing World of Warcraft, mainly. Her blog, Chaotic Pixels, will cover more than that, though, like reviews of episodes of the tv-series Hannibal, opinions on movies/books and other RL-stuff. I do admire people who do this in an all-in-one mixed bag; i like to keep the different topics separated. But it still makes sense and gives an interesting mix of topics to read about.
Melbrankin‘s writing his ramblings of a MMO gamer guy with a mix of MMO experience, his own drawings, recipes and whatever else is on his mind. He’s playing World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Final Fantasy 14 and Elder Scrolls Online at the moment.
So, this rounds it up for now- at least from what i saw. If i missed someone, just poke me. By the way, the order doesn’t signify anything else than the reverse order of their respective introductionary postings on the NBI forums. I’m glad you guys and girls chose to pick up blogging (again) and have fun in the community!
